My Inspiration is... |
I am inspired by my wild, crazy, amazing, wonderfully blessed life! I have had quite a journey for my "short" 30 years. (Don't laugh at my old age! Haha!) I have experienced major hurricanes, serious tornados, the lose of my father and my maternal grandmother, I have moved several times in less then 10 years, survived deployments, taught three years of middle school, been accepted to grad school, traveled across the United States and even to other countries, gained many great friends along the way, and I continue to be blessed with many amazing, awe-inspiring adventures. Our God is great and will continue to provide!
My biggest inspiration was my sweet Sandy-Kane, whom we lost in August 2016. She was a beautiful, sweet, and silly pitbull. We were blessed with almost 10 years with her. In December of 2015 she was diagnosed with Lymphoma. At the time my husband was deployed. All we could do was pray God would allow her to make it to be able to see him again and to go through the process of chemotherapy. If you have never been blessed with the joy of a pitbull in your life, then you are probably unaware of their strength. I witnessed more strength in her then I have seen in most people. I created a series of paintings 100% inspired by her and this series of paintings had a huge impact on getting me into grad school. I still love her so very much and miss her daily. I thank God for the time I was allowed with her! God continued to bless me even more. On March 19th of 2017, I was blessed with the most beautiful baby boy. He truly inspires me daily. He inspires me to be the best that I can be. I want to be someone he will feel proud of. I will always strive for that. |
